Lights of Christmas
2012 marks the third year of the Lights of Christmas, and this year the story is about Unity, where all of Australia's cultures and backgrounds come together and wish the world peace and harmony.
You'll be taken on a visual journey from dusk falling over the Australian desert and descending to the eveneing star then to a beautiful Christmas tree moving through the universe. A sparkling wreath follows tith flora from around the world, including the colourful lotus of many Asian cultures, the shamrocks of Ireland and the Tudor Rose of England amongst others, to represent modern Australia's diversity.
This year Sydney will stand together and wish the world a Merry Christmas with a live stream accessible globallu and audiences are also encourages to take a photo and share it with loved ones afar.
In celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the artworks that adorn the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo, the iconic image of life and a series of images of Madonna and Child will also feature in the story.
Lights of Christmas is a great free night out to spend with family and friends. The stunning projections continue nightly from 13th December - 25th December,from 8.30pm.
